At DuMais Pediatrics, we want our patients and families to know that we continue to provide care to our patients during this COVID-19 Pandemic. This is a time of heightened anxiety for the families we serve, as well as a time of great challenge to our staff and doctors. To keep our patients and our staff safe, we have taken the following steps:

Appointment schedules have been adjusted. We are seeing our healthy patients- newborns, check ups, and selected other problems during the morning hours. Sick patients are being seen in the afternoon. You may be asked to wait in your car when you arrive.

Our doctors are utilizing Telehealth (phone and video visits) for certain problems, such as ADHD medication follow ups, as well as for cases in which there might be a concern for COVID-19 infection. These visits will take place during regular office hours, and may be required after hours if the physician on call determines that a patient might otherwise have to visit urgent care or an emergency room.

While we realize that is often most convenient for families to come to appointments in groups (both parents), or with other children (siblings), we ask your cooperation in bringing only one caregiver and one patient to appointments. We know this may present challenges for your particular situation, but we ask that you please help us with this request by making arrangements. This will help us all establish proper social distancing, and slow the spread of the virus. Protect your families, and help us protect ours.

In addition to our regular cleaning procedures, our staff are taking extra steps to disinfect high-touch surfaces throughout our office, using CDC recommended disinfectants to kill coronaviruses.
